What I do:

• I belong to the Advanced Programming Languages and Technologies group from the OOTLAB.
• I have presented my PhD Thesis about reusable monadic semantics of programming languages. I have a separate page dedicated to a Language Prototyping System that I have done for my PhD
• I have updated the CGI Library originally developed by Erik Meijer. With that library I made some CGI's which are available from my home page at Petra. You can download the CGI Library.
• I am maintaining in my spare time some specific Web pages about  "Advanced Programming Languages", "Logic for Computer Science"
• In the past, I have maintained the Web Pages of the VI Congreso sobre Tecnología y Lógica Fuzzy and the II Jornadas sobre Tecnologías Orientadas a Objetos.
• I have directed some Final Year Projects.

Research Lines

• Programming Languages: I am interested in the development of new programming languages and the comparison betwen existing programming languages and paradigms (Functional, Object Oriented, Logic, Generic, ...). Recently, I have read some interesting stuff about semiotics and I am also interested in the influence between semiotics and visual programming languages.
• Semantic Specification of programming languages. Modular Monadic Semantics, Action Semantics, etc.
• Partial Evaluation and Automatic Development of Compilers from Interpreters.

• Multimedia Applications, Computer Music, Human Computer Interaction, Semiotics, ...
• Fuzzy Logic, Soft Computing, Genetic Programming, Fractals, Wavelets,...
